The President of Russia and the Mayor of Moscow appreciated the new part of the Dream Island park

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin appreciated the new outdoor part of the Dream Island amusement park with extreme rides, which opened on City Day. The founder of the park, Amiran Mutsoev, asked the head of state to allow the official opening of the new territory for visitors, media reports2.

“Six years ago we opened the largest indoor amusement park in the world. And today – its new, open part and we are actually taking “Dream Island” to a new level. We are now one of the top 5 largest parks in the world in terms of the number of mechanical attractions and are the second largest amusement park in Europe. We are creating an entertainment industry that complies with the best global practices, and it is especially important and valuable for us that a world-class facility was created in Russia,” said Mutsoev.

Now the total building area of ​​the complex is 850 thousand square meters, and the number of thematic zones has increased to 15. The park has 65 mechanical attractions, and its capacity reaches 45 thousand people per day. Indoor and outdoor areas are available with a single ticket.

Five thematic worlds appeared in the new part of the park. These include the “City of Dreamers” with a multimedia street where images are broadcast on seven screens without the need for 3D glasses, and “Fisherman’s Cove” with a 451-meter floating bridge.

Guests can also enjoy the 68-metre free-fall tower, the Flame of Speed ​​monorail ride and the Water Path water ride. The main new product was the Legend of the Peaks roller coaster. It accelerates to 110 kilometers per hour and is declared to be the fastest, longest and highest in Europe.

During its operation, Dream Island was visited by more than 25 million people. With the opening of the third stage, 1.8 thousand new jobs appeared in the complex. About 10 thousand trees and shrubs were planted on the territory, and more than 5 km of walking paths and 30 food outlets were installed.
