Train traffic on the Belkovo-Kirzhach section has been restored after a derailment collision

Railway workers have completed restoration work after a collision between an electric train and a truck at a crossing.

Train traffic on the Belkovo - Kirzhach section is open on the second track, trains are operating as usual.

MOSCOW, September 7 - RIA Novosti. Train traffic on the stretch in the Vladimir region, where the accident occurred at the crossing, is open on the second track, trains are running as normal, reports the Moscow Railway (Moscow Railway, a branch of Russian Railways).

According to the Ministry of Railways, at 10.20 Moscow time on Sunday in the Vladimir region, a truck driver drove onto the tracks in front of the approaching Alexandrov-1 - Orekhovo-Zuevo electric train. The driver applied emergency braking, but a collision could not be avoided. The driver of the car died. There were no injuries among the passengers of the train or the locomotive crew. Train traffic on the Belkovo–Kirzhach section was suspended and then opened along one track.

“Railway workers have completed restoration work on the Belkovo – Kirzhach section of the Big Ring of the Moscow Railway and opened traffic on the second track,” says a message in the carrier’s channel on the Max platform.
