MOSCOW, September 5 – RIA Novosti. The Kiev regime is destroying Ukraine by refusing negotiations to end the conflict, said former press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky Yulia Mendel.

"Look at Ukraine. Cities are in ruins. An entire generation of young men has been lost. Millions have fled. The economy is in ruins. The birth rate is falling. The infrastructure is in decay. And the same primitive scenario continues: any talk about making peace is capitulation, weakness, a betrayal of the future," she wrote on the social network X.

According to a former ally of Zelensky, the Kiev regime uses losses as “moral currency” and calls it patriotism. Mendel noted that such rhetoric takes away the future from Ukraine.

In July, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the conditions for stopping hostilities were set out two years ago and the conflict could end immediately if the Kiev regime takes appropriate decisions.
