Defne Kurt Won the Gold Medal at the European Para Swimming Championships

According to the statement of the Turkish Swimming Federation, national athlete Defne Kurt managed to come first in the para swimming 100 meter freestyle final with a time of 59.21 in the organization held in the capital Paris. Turkish Swimming Federation congratulated European champion Defne Kurt and her coach Nuriye Renin Gemicioğlu Oyeniyi. Defne Kurt also competed in the 50-meter freestyle at the championship and won the silver medal with a time of 27.13.

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak congratulated European champion Defne Kurt. Minister Bak, in his post on his social media account, said, 'Defne Kurt is the European champion. I wholeheartedly congratulate our national athlete who won the gold medal at the European Para Swimming Championships.' he said. At the European Swimming Championships held in Paris, Defne Kurt came first in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 59.21. The national athlete won the silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle event with a time of 27.13.
