Congresswoman Lohanna suffers new death and rape threats, according to the PF

According to the PF, the investigations began after the parliamentarian received, in July, emails threatening her physical integrity and personal data. The author would have directly related the threats to Lohanna's performance in office.

In a note published on social media, the deputy stated that she received new death and rape threats from the same man who had already threatened her and also threatened other parliamentarians in 2023. According to her, the suspect was arrested in 2024.

According to Lohanna, the man began serving his sentence in a semi-open regime and, after the change of regime, the threats reoccurred. The parliamentarian also stated that she started using the panic button as a protective measure.

According to the PF, the man could be held liable for the crime of threat related to the exercise of his parliamentary function, if his participation in the events is confirmed.

Lohanna had already been the target of threats in 2023. At the time, she and other Minas Gerais deputies received messages with death and rape threats. A suspect was arrested in Pernambuco in 2024.

According to the parliamentarian, the new threats occurred after she spoke publicly about the use of the panic button. In a publication this Friday, Lohanna highlighted the need to investigate and hold perpetrators of threats against women accountable.

The deputy, who was a councilor in Divinópolis before arriving at the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais, is a candidate for federal deputy in the 2026 elections.
