Almina Çakmak, who was injured in the Devetaşı accident, told about her treatment process on the 100th day

According to the information obtained, 5 people were injured, 1 seriously, in the accident that occurred as a result of a car that went out of control due to rain and rolled over in Devetaşı location on May 27, 2026. 15-year-old Almina Çakmak, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to intensive care at Muğla Training and Research Hospital. Almina, who was treated in intensive care for 88 days after the accident, was taken to the pediatric ward 12 days ago. Almina, whose treatment continues in the ward, cannot speak or walk yet, but she can breathe, eat and drink on her own.

"WE ARE NOW ON DAY 100"

Almina's father, Celal Çakmak, talked about his daughter's treatment process after the accident. Stating that they learned about the accident on Eid al-Adha, Çakmak explained the process they went through and said, "We received a phone call on May 27, 2026, at around 18.30 on Eid al-Adha. We learned by phone that Almina had an accident. The intensive care process lasted 88 days. We are now on the 100th day. We went to the service after 88 days."

"HE HAS TO FOOD AND DRINK, AND WE SAY THANKFUL FOR THAT"

Providing information about his daughter's health condition, Çakmak said that Almina cannot speak or walk yet, but it is a great hope for them that she will overcome the vital phase, and said, "Thank God, she can eat and drink now. She cannot talk, she cannot walk, but we say thank God for that."

Father Celal Çakmak stated that Almina underwent many operations and interventions during the intensive care unit.

Explaining that Almina was intubated for a long time, Çakmak stated that later a tracheostomy was opened and this was terminated, and that her daughter can now breathe on her own, and said, "She was intubated. After the intubation, a tracheostomy was opened in her throat. Thank God, it was taken away, now she can breathe on her own, thank God."

Thanking the healthcare professionals who supported him during his daughter's treatment process, Çakmak stated that the management of Muğla Training and Research Hospital and the doctors fought hard for them and said, "We would like to thank the chief physician of Muğla Training and Research Hospital, our doctors in the intensive care unit, our doctors in the pediatric ward and everyone who works for providing us with all kinds of convenience. I pray that God bless us all."

Talking about the people who did not leave them alone during Almina's treatment process, father Çakmak stated that Muğlaspor Club President Menaf Kıyanç also called and asked about them throughout the process. Çakmak said, "Muğlaspor Club President Menaf Kıyanç always called and visited. He gave Almina a jersey as a gift. Thank you very much."

Stating that his daughter's treatment and struggle for life are continuing, Celal Çakmak said that they will follow the legal process after the accident. Çakmak said, "Our legal struggle will begin" and stated that they will initiate the legal process against those responsible for the accident.
