另針對議員關切學校廚餘清運經費，教育局澄清，以往學校廚餘多透過團膳業者收運，再以畜牧養豬方式去化，多無額外廚餘清運成本，但因應中央自明年1月1日起全面禁止廚餘養豬政策，為避免各校清運成本排擠營養午餐的食材採購與供應品質，教育局另於各校編列相應預算。

教育局強調，市府並非僅被動編列處理經費，已著手規劃源頭減量問題，持續觀察各校廚餘數量，並積極推動校園食農教育及獎勵廚餘減量機制。在學校與市府共同努力下，全市學生人均廚餘量已自今年6月129公克，下降至119公克，未來也將持續精進菜色口味與供應品質，兼顧食安、品質與環保永續。
