Ten autonomous communities will be on notice this Monday for heat and storms with hail while DANA persists in the southwest of the Peninsula. Likewise, there will be very strong gusts of wind that will especially affect Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, the Betic systems, Cádiz and its surrounding areas, the lower Ebro and the Pyrenees, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Specifically, Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura will maintain warnings for rain and high temperatures, while the Valencian Community will do so for rain and storms. Likewise, the Balearic Islands, Castilla y León, Galicia and the Community of Madrid will activate alerts for high temperatures.
The day will be unstable in different parts of the country. During the early morning, Sunday's storms may continue in the southwest, and from the central hours of the day the development of evolving cloudiness is expected in the mountain areas and part of the center, south and east of the peninsula.
The Cantabrian Sea will have very cloudy or covered skies with weak precipitation, and in the Strait, Ceuta and Melilla there will be low clouds with a tendency to subside. Morning fog banks are possible in the extreme north, Ceuta and Melilla. For its part, in the Canary Islands, cloudy intervals are expected with some precipitation on the mountainous islands.
Regarding temperatures, maximum temperatures will rise generally in the interior, without changes on the coasts and the Balearic Islands and with slight decreases in the Canary Islands. Temperatures will exceed 35 degrees in much of the southern half, the northeast, the Balearic Islands, Galicia, Madrid and parts of Castilla y León and Valencia, with maximum temperatures that could occasionally exceed 40 degrees in the Guadalquivir and Tagus valleys.
Among the provincial capitals, the 40 degrees predicted in Ourense and the 39 in Badajoz, Cáceres and Córdoba stand out. Madrid will reach 36 degrees.
The minimums will rise in the center of the peninsula and will remain unchanged in the rest of the Peninsula and the archipelagos, with slight decreases in the north. They will not drop below 20 degrees in large areas of the southwest, the Mediterranean coasts and occasionally in the northeast and the Cantabrian Sea.

GALICIA: In the Mariña de Lugo, cloudy with low clouds, with associated persistent mists and fogs in high areas and weak precipitation. In the rest of the community, cloudy skies or with cloudy intervals of low clouds at the beginning and end of the day and little cloudiness with some evolving cloudiness in the mountain areas the rest of the day. Minimum temperatures with slight changes and maximum temperatures increasing, less pronounced in the northern third and that will exceed 36 degrees in the Rías Bajas and 38 in the Miño valley and the west of Ourense. In Ourense, variable light winds. In the rest of the community, light and moderate winds from the north and northeast.
PRINCIPALITY OF ASTURIAS: Cloudy skies opening up abundantly clear in the central hours except on the coast, where intervals of low clouds will remain. Some evolving cloudiness in the mountain range. Probable morning and evening mists and fog banks scattered in high areas of the mountain range. Possibility of some weak and scattered precipitation. Minimum temperatures with slight changes and maximum temperatures with a slight increase. Variable light winds with a predominance of the northeast and east in the central hours.
CANTABRIA: Intervals of low clouds, decreasing to slightly cloudy with low clouds on the coast in the central hours and with some evolving cloudiness in the mountain range. Probable morning and evening mists and fog banks scattered in high areas of the mountain range. Possibility of some weak and scattered precipitation. Minimum temperatures with slight changes and maximum temperatures with a slight increase. Light variable winds with a predominance of the north and northeast in the central hours.
BASQUE COUNTRY: Intervals of low clouds decreasing to slightly cloudy, with low clouds on the coast in the central hours and with some evolving cloudiness in the mountain range. Probable morning and evening mists and fog banks scattered in high inland areas. Some weak and scattered precipitation on the coast is not ruled out. Minimum temperatures with a slight decrease and maximum temperatures with slight changes, with increases predominating in the south. Light variable winds with a predominance of the northern component in the central hours.
CASTILLA Y LEÓN: Little cloudy or clear in the morning, with low clouds in the extreme northeast in the early hours. Starting at midday, daytime cloudiness will increase, more abundant in mountain areas, where some occasional showers with storms are not ruled out. Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum temperatures with a slight rise. The northeast and north wind will predominate, weak with moderate intervals.
NAVARRE: Predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies with intervals of low clouds at the beginning and end of the day in the northern third, which will be accompanied by mists and scattered fog banks in high areas. Evolution cloudiness in mountain areas during the central hours. Minimum temperatures in slight decline and maximum temperatures with few changes, with increases predominating in the Ribera del Ebro. Light winds from the north and northwest.
LA RIOJA: A little cloudy, with some low clouds in the morning to the west and daytime cloudiness in the mountains, where some showers with storms are not ruled out. Minimum temperatures without changes and maximum temperatures in slight rise. Wind from the northwest and north, weak with some moderate intervals.
ARAGÓN: Little cloudy or clear; in the Pyrenees and the Iberian system, daytime cloudiness without ruling out occasional showers with storms during the afternoon. Minimum temperatures with few changes; maximums rising, slight or without changes in the southern third, reaching significantly high values in the Ebro depression. Light wind of variable direction, predominating northwest in the Ebro depression, with moderate intervals in the afternoon.
CATALONIA: Little cloudy or clear, with daytime cloudiness in inland mountain areas, with the probability of scattered showers accompanied by storms in the Pyrenees and northeastern interior in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures with few changes; rising maximums in the interior and with few changes on the coast, reaching significantly high values in the central depression and Ampurdán. Light wind of variable direction, predominating the southern component from midday, with moderate intervals on the coast in the afternoon; tending in the extreme northeast in the late hours to moderate northwest.
EXTREMADURA: Little cloudy increasing at cloudy intervals, with daytime cloudiness. Probability of showers with storms, more likely in the southern half, where it is not ruled out that they could be locally strong. Temperatures with few changes, except the maximums in the northern half, which will rise slightly. The wind from the east and south will predominate, light or moderate, more intense in stormy areas.
COMMUNITY OF MADRID: Little cloudy with veils of high clouds in the morning and evolving cloudiness in the second half of the day. Occasional stormy showers are not ruled out in the afternoon in mountain areas. Rising temperatures. 34 degrees will be reached in low areas of the mountains and 36 degrees in the rest of the community, and may be slightly higher in the Henares corridor, south of Jarama and in the Vega de Aranjuez. Variable light wind.
CASTILLA-LA MANCHA: Little cloudy with veils of high clouds in the morning and evolving cloudiness in the second half of the day. Slight presence of haze. Stormy showers in the western half and Alcaraz and Segura, which could be occasionally accompanied by hail. They are not ruled out, although with less probability and occasionally, in the Iberian and Central Systems. Rising temperatures, slight or moderate. In the western third, 39 degrees can be exceeded in the Tajo and Guadiana valleys and 37 in the San Vicente mountain range, in Toledo. Light wind, predominantly easterly. It will blow with greater intensity during the central hours, when strong or very strong gusts associated with storm phenomena may be recorded.
VALENCIAN COMMUNITY: Little cloudy or clear, with daytime cloudiness in the interior of the northern third, where occasional showers with storms are not ruled out during the afternoon. Temperatures unchanged. Light wind of variable direction, tending towards an easterly component at midday, with moderate intervals in the afternoon.
REGION OF MURCIA: Lightly cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds and low morning cloudiness in Campo de Cartagena. Daytime cloudiness in the interior mountains, without ruling out occasional showers and storms. Temperatures without changes or rising minimums. Variable light winds, generally tending towards an easterly component, and increasing to moderate on the coast.
BALEARIC ISLANDS: Lightly cloudy or clear skies, with some evolving clouds in Mallorca without ruling out, in the afternoon in the interior of the island, some occasional and isolated showers. Temperatures with few changes. Tropical or torrid nights. Variable light wind with coastal breezes tending towards a southern component from the afternoon onwards.
ANDALUSIA: Skies with cloudy intervals of medium and high clouds. Intervals of low clouds on the Atlantic coast and Strait area. Occasional showers are not ruled out, which could be accompanied by storms. Rising or unchanged temperatures. Moderate easterly winds on the coast of Almería, with strong intervals, and variable light winds in the rest.
