Two teenagers are arrested after confessing to participating in the death of a dismembered boy in Teresina

According to the Civil Police, the teenagers stated that Hydhino participated in the death of Joel Araújo Lustosa, murdered with a beating on September 12th. The police are investigating the possible connection between the crimes and are seeking to clarify the participation of each person involved.

Regarding the boy's death, the suspects reported that the crime was motivated by an alleged theft committed by Hydhino against a family member of one of them, in addition to disagreements and accusations between the teenagers. The motivation presented in the statements is still being investigated.

The two were taken to the Citizenship Defense Complex (CDC), after the court ordered their provisional hospitalization.

The teenagers presented themselves to the Flagrantes Center on Friday (16), claiming that they were receiving death threats. According to the Piauí Public Security Secretariat (SSP-PI), the threats were related to Joel's homicide.

During their statements, the two confessed to participating in this crime and said that the death was motivated by an alleged act of harassment committed by Joel against the girlfriend of one of them.

While being interviewed by investigators, the Civil Police received information that Hydhino's body had been found. The teenagers were interrogated again and confessed to involvement in the boy's death.

Hydhino had been missing since Tuesday (13). According to investigations, he had been murdered in the early hours of that day.

The body was found by a resident in a disused farm in the Samapi neighborhood. According to delegate Genival Vilela, from the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), the victim had his head, arms and legs cut off. Not all parts of the body had been located, according to information initially released by the police.

The Civil Police continues to carry out investigations to clarify the dynamics of the two homicides, confirm the motivations reported by the teenagers and identify possible others involved.
