How and when to submit an application?

Applications for the subsidy can be submitted from October 6 via the website czek.podkarpackie.travel. The order of correctly and completely submitted applications determines whether the check is awarded. Recruitment will last until the pool for the second round is exhausted.

Technical problems in the first round

During the first recruitment, which took place on September 14, many users reported difficulties in receiving the SMS code and long waits for the page to load.

From a technical point of view, however, there was not a complete breakdown of the system, but its maximum overload - explained the president of the Podkarpacka Regional Tourist Organization, Wioletta Rejman.

The analysis showed that applications were accepted and recorded on a first-come, first-served basis, and checks were awarded automatically, without any preferences.

Who can benefit from the subsidy?

All adult Polish citizens who meet the program conditions can apply for support. Initially, the subsidies were intended only for people over 65 years of age and holders of the Large Family Card, but thanks to additional financing from the provincial government, the program also covered other adult tourists.

What can the check be used for?

Checks from the second round can be used from October 7 to November 2. An additional payment of PLN 300 will reduce the bill for a stay of at least two consecutive nights at a facility participating in the program.

The current list of such places and regulations are available on the program website.

People who did not complete their application in the first round must reapply for the subsidy. Their details have not been saved, so it is not possible to automatically award a check in the next round.

The total budget of the Podkarpackie Tourist Check is PLN 3 million - half was provided by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, and the other half by the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

The program aims to encourage visitors to the region outside the peak season and support the local tourism industry. The third round of recruitment is scheduled for November 3.

Similar initiatives to subsidize accommodation also operate in the Podlaskie, Lublin and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships.
