The High-Speed Railway Company pointed out that in order to reduce the crowds during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Teacher's Day holidays (September 24 to 29), all 34 train groups are currently dispatched, and a total of 176 additional trains will be operated in 6 days (70 southbound and 106 northbound), providing a total of 1,150 travel services in 6 days. Based on the analysis of past transportation experience, the next wave of passenger peaks will fall on today and tomorrow for people returning north. Tomorrow will be the peak travel period from 2 to 7 pm. Stations south of Taichung are on longer routes and rely more on high-speed rail. Therefore, the flow of people heading north during consecutive holidays every year is mostly concentrated at stations south of Taichung.

The high-speed rail company calls on passengers to take advantage of off-peak and dispersed boarding. Before preparing to take a free seat, they can check in advance through the high-speed rail corporate website, the "T-EX Mobile Ticketing" App or the LINE TODAY "Life Channel" to learn the estimated "free seat waiting time" lights at each station on the day, and take advantage of the off-peak hours with green lights.

The Taiwan Railway Corporation said that on September 24, the day before the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the number of Taiwan Railway passengers reached 846,000, about 1.3 times the usual number. On September 24 and 25 alone, the number of Taiwan Railway passengers reached 1.574 million, an increase of 10.9% over last year. In order to smoothen the flow of people returning from the north during the holidays, an additional 6402 interregional express trains from Changhua to Qidujian (Jingshan Line) will be opened tomorrow, and to support the large number of passengers at Taichung High Speed ​​Rail Station, 4 additional trains of the new Ziqiang train are planned to be stopped at Xinwuri Station to strengthen transportation.
