Reports of hearing explosions on the Iranian island of Khark and news circulating that an oil tanker was targeted

The agency stated that sounds of explosions were heard on the island, but no traces of smoke or fire were seen in the bay.

She added that no official or accurate information has been issued yet about the cause and source of these sounds.

Iranian media circulated news about an American targeting an Iranian oil tanker anchored on the island.

She indicated that the attack occurred at around 8:50 am today, as the US army attacked the oil tanker using 4 missiles. Adding that the oil tanker is currently being evacuated.

According to local Iranian sources, the tanker that was targeted was a small tanker. According to circulating reports, there were no casualties as a result of the targeting.

At the end of last July, US President Donald Trump published a series of photos on the “Truth Social” platform that included direct threats to destroy Iran. One of the pictures shows planes attacking Khark Island and powerful explosions shaking the island.
