He continued, “If there is a hole in the defense line, it should not be dismissed as an accident at an individual financial company and patched up,” and added, “Before worrying about cutting-edge AI hacking, we cannot help but ask whether the basic ‘entrance door’ to the financial sector is properly locked.”

He also pointed out, “The responsibility of financial authorities is by no means light,” and “While we are calling for AI financial innovation and digital transformation, is there a proper supervisory system in place to support this?”

Chief Spokesperson Park added, “In the AI ​​era, we cannot prevent the coming cyber threats with follow-up measures that investigate when a breach is made and check when a fraud is stolen.” He added, “In this government audit, we will ask one by one who missed the danger signal and whether the financial authorities’ supervision was properly implemented.”
