王雲彬今日表示，由於鬼門關當天，民俗上有幾點須注意，首先，若公司、社區或家中之前已辦過中元普度，鬼門關不必再拜一次，改念地藏菩薩聖號、布施或迴向；其次，若仍要祭拜，一般家戶或公司以下午1至5時為宜，日落前完成，別拖到入夜才祭拜。

王雲彬表示，鬼門關「送普」供品以素食、乾糧為主，避免殺生，更要注意祭拜時內外、高低、對象要分清楚，若家中有供奉地藏菩薩，可在佛堂或神桌以鮮花、清水、素果供養；好兄弟則放在門外、騎樓或朝外的空間，不要把供佛與普度混成一桌。

王雲彬強調，關鬼門是安靜送行，祭拜好兄弟時明確表達「送行」，避免說出「留下來」、「下次再來」，不可求財或交換條件，不要放鞭炮，儀式結束確認香火及金紙熄滅，即可收妥供品，切勿整桌供品擺放到入夜，甚至隔天。
