2026 Beijing Animation Week will open on September 24th, focusing on "Beijing AI Animation"

China News Service, Beijing, September 8 (Reporter Gao Kai) The reporter learned on the 8th that the 2026 Beijing Animation Week, jointly sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Radio, Film and Television Bureau and the Beijing Xicheng District Committee and District Government, will continue the brand theme of "Animation + Together is More Wonderful", with "Beijing AI Animation" as the core theme of the year, and will be held in Beijing from September 24 to 27.

According to reports, in terms of industry depth, Beijing Animation Week will take a new attitude to explore new trends in the global animation industry. Focusing on the core narrative of "Beijing AI Animation", the event will gather high-quality animation projects, head animation companies, industry forums, venture capital roadshows, talent selection and other content to build an industry event with both vision and depth. "Ai" is endowed with dual connotations: internally, it is "love" and the origin of emotional resonance between audiences, creators and cities; externally, it is artificial intelligence technology, the underlying logic that reshapes the global animation production model.

The high-quality development of the animation industry is the core focus of this Animation Week. The main forum and four parallel forums conducted in-depth discussions around quality creation methodologies, technological innovation paths, industrial integration models and international communication strategies. Animation directors, original animators and other front-line creators and industry representatives gathered together to lead the industry direction with high-quality creations.

As the Beijing Zoo celebrates its 120th anniversary, the giant panda "Menglan" will also accompany everyone to celebrate this wonderful animation time. Among the check-in routes throughout the city, the square in front of the Beijing Exhibition Center is a ceremonial stop - every evening from September 24th to 26th, open-air movies will start on time under the stars and in front of the curtain.
