Zhangjia County calls for a double budget: turning Yunlin from a large agricultural county into a strong county

Zhang Jiajun, the Kuomintang candidate for Yunlin County Magistrate, established the Youth Farmers Support Association today (8th), gathering outstanding young farmers from various towns, towns and cities on site. The Zhangjia County meeting emphasized that it will take double support, smart upgrading and sustainable rural areas as its core vision, and advocate that it will provide the most substantial resource injection for young farmers, prepare a budget that is twice as large as before, lead Yunlin from a large agricultural county to a strong agricultural county, and build an agricultural, industrial, commercial and technological city where agriculture and science and technology can co-prosper.

Zhang Jiajun said that she saw the young farmers working hard in the fields, creating product value and marketing, putting in a lot of sweat and effort. She hopes to make a difference by standing in Yunlin. In the future, she hopes to continue to work hard with the young farmers. Facing the challenges of climate change and labor shortage, agricultural transformation is an issue that must be paid attention to. Therefore, she proposed four major agricultural upgrade actions: "smart upgrade, circular upgrade, value upgrade, and resilience upgrade."

Zhang Jiajun said that he will make two major commitments: "double the subsidy for smart agriculture" and "double the subsidy for circular agriculture." In the future, the county government will allocate double the budget for smart and circular agriculture than before to provide the most solid backing for young farmers. In terms of smart agriculture, we will expand subsidies for AI equipment and automated agricultural machinery, and promote "agricultural machinery sharing" and "technology to the countryside" programs so that young farmers can afford the latest technology without high costs. In terms of circular agriculture, in addition to increasing support for regenerated fertilizers, a demonstration area will be set up to solve the treatment problems of livestock manure and pickled cabbage water.

Zhang Jiajun said that in addition to saving costs on the production side, he also wants to help farmers earn high profits. Therefore, he will promote low-carbon contracts and corporate ESG carbon sink cooperation, and comprehensively upgrade the cold chain and e-commerce channels to enter "Yunlin Good Products" into high-end domestic and foreign markets, which will substantially increase farmers' income. On the other hand, AI climate early warning and a complete agricultural insurance mechanism will be introduced, while complete succession guidance of funds and technology will be provided to create the most secure haven for young people returning to their hometowns to work in agriculture.
