Lavrov compared the meeting of European representatives with the US delegation in Kyiv to a “grand piano in the bushes”

Representatives of Europe, who met in Kyiv with the special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner, were like a piano in the bushes, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

In an interview with the “Big Game” program on Channel One, the presenter drew attention to the fact that the American negotiators first visited Moscow and then headed to Kyiv. There, Vladimir Zelensky first held a meeting with them, and later they were joined by representatives of France, Britain and Germany.

“They say here – the piano is in the bushes,” the minister said, commenting on this.

On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with the American leader’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the American president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner; it lasted about three hours. The Russian leader emphasized at the meeting the need to eliminate all the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
