Russia's Central Election Commission announced the final results of the 9th State Duma election

China News Service, Moscow, September 25th. Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission Pamfilova announced the final results of the 9th Russian State Duma (lower house of parliament) election on the 25th. The ruling party United Russia won 349 seats out of 450 State Duma seats.

Pamfilova said at the meeting that in the current State Duma election, the United Russia Party won 349 seats, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation won 37 seats, the Liberal Democratic Party won 23 seats, the New People's Party won 19 seats, the Just Russia Party won 17 seats, the Fatherland Party won 1 seat, and 4 independent candidates won 1 seat each.

Pamfilova said that more than 59.8% of voters participated in the current State Duma election, and the number of people exceeded 67.4 million. This is the highest record in the past three elections.

Elections for members of Russia’s Ninth State Duma will be held from September 18 to 20. The State Duma is a permanent legislative body of Russia, composed of 450 representatives. The seat setting for this election continues the traditional model. Among the 450 seats, 225 seats are allocated proportionally based on party lists, and the remaining 225 seats are elected through a relative majority voting system in single-seat constituencies across the country.

According to the Kremlin website, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a presidential decree on the same day. According to the relevant provisions of the Russian Federation Constitution, the first session of the Ninth State Duma will be held on September 30.
