The best-selling car of October was Togg T10X

Türkiye's automobile and light commercial vehicle market continued to shrink, especially in the first 10 months of 2026. Because sales decreased by 15.33 percent compared to the same period last year, falling to 883 thousand 799 units. In this table, Togg T10X became the best-selling car of October.

However, the decline accelerated in October. Thus, total sales decreased by 30.84 percent on an annual basis to 80 thousand 334 units. In addition, automobile sales remained at 64 thousand 939 units and light commercial vehicle sales remained at 15 thousand 395 units.

Togg T10X is at the top in October

In the data shared by automobile journalist Emre Özpeynirci, Togg T10X ranked first with 4,059 units. Accordingly, Volkswagen T-Roc came in second with 3,324 units, and Renault Boreal came in third with 2,779 units. Then, Togg T10F ranked fourth with 2,702 units.

Renault Megane: 2,368 units

Renault Duster: 2,249 units

Renault Clio: 2,208 units

Nissan Qashqai: 2,040 units

Volkswagen Taigo: 2,000 units

Togg took two of the top four places with T10X and T10F. Thus, total sales of the two models reached 6,761 units. On the other hand, Renault was the most represented brand in the top 10 with four models.

Leader of the Top 10 Months Renault Clio

In the January-October period, the best-selling car was Renault Clio. The model ranked first with 35,844 units. However, Toyota Corolla came in second with 26,455 units. Finally, Togg T10X ranked third with 26,079 units.

Togg T10X and T10F sold a total of 44,187 units in the first 10 months. Thus, both models entered the top 10.

Togg is Ahead in the Electric Market

Renault Leader in Brand Rankings

Renault ranked first among brands with 113,504 units in the first 10 months. However, Volkswagen ranked second with 74,546 units and Fiat ranked third with 69,777 units. Then, Toyota ranked fourth with 61,774 units and Peugeot ranked fifth with 54,850 units.

Renault increased its total sales by 8.6 percent. Additionally, automobile sales grew by 10.5 percent and reached 105,417 units. On the other hand, Togg grew by 60.8 percent. Thus, it rose to fifth place from 13th place last year. Finally, in October, Renault ranked first in total sales with 10,686 units, Volkswagen ranked second with 8,434 units, and Togg ranked third with 6,761 units.
