Femicide in Elazığ: Killed with a shotgun by her ex-husband

A woman, a mother of two children, who was shot with a shotgun by her ex-husband in front of her house in Keban district of Elazığ, lost her life.

The incident took place in Denizli village of Keban district. According to the information obtained, A.P. opened fire with a shotgun at Nazmiye Ö. (56), the mother of two children, whom he divorced 5 years ago, in front of their house. While the person fled the scene after the attack, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the village upon notice. During the check-up by the medical teams, it was determined that Nazmiye Ö. had died. The escaped suspect was caught and detained by gendarmerie teams at the entrance of Keban district. The dead body of the woman was taken to the morgue of Fırat University Hospital for autopsy after examinations at the scene.
