Tragic Saturday in the center of Krakow

Dramatic scenes in the center of Krakow occurred around 3 p.m. A masked 24-year-old drove a speeding car onto the Main Square and opened fire on people along the way.

As a result of the brutal attack, six people were killed and another fifteen were injured. The injured also included policemen who reacted quickly and overpowered the perpetrator after the exchange of fire.

Witnesses to these events speak of panic, chaos and terror - people fled, seeking shelter in cafes, gates and restaurants surrounding the Main Square.

Emergency services immediately arrived on site, providing aid to the injured and securing the area against further threats.
