JASAT shed light on the murder disguised as a fire in Elazığ

JASAT Teams, who determined that Ağa and Nimet Üykü couple, who were thought to have lost their lives in a fire in their house in Elazığ, were murdered, identified the stolen jewelry from the airport X-Ray images and caught the murderer suspect H.Ç.

Under the coordination of Gendarmerie General Command Public Security Department and Karakoçan Public Prosecutor's Office; As a result of meticulous work carried out by Elazığ Provincial Gendarmerie Command JASAT teams;

In the autopsy examination performed on the couple Ağa and Nimet Üykü, who were considered to have died in a fire in their house on September 8, 2026 in Karakoçan district of Elazığ; It was determined that he was shot to death with a firearm bullet in the chest area, and then the incident was made to look like a fire. It was also determined that 2 bracelets, 1 necklace and 2 earrings belonging to the deceased Nimet Üykü were stolen.

As a result of the meticulous monitoring of the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) teams, who took action upon this; The suspect H.Ç., who made the incident look like a fire, fled to Istanbul with the stolen gold and tried to sell it in a jeweler, was identified from airport X-Ray images and caught.

The murderer suspect, H.Ç., was arrested for the crimes of "Deliberate Murder" and "Loot".

By JASATs affiliated with the Gendarmerie General Command; In 2026, 11 thousand 808 of 12 thousand 280 qualified incidents were clarified. This year, all 209 intentional homicide cases involving JASAT were solved.

Moreover; A Red Notice decision was issued for 24 suspects who were wanted as fugitives in intentional murder cases.
