Direct Senatorial elections: the presidents of the Les Républicains and Les Indépendants groups, Mathieu Darnaud and Claude Malhuret, re-elected
If the alliance between the Republicans and the centrists must retain the majority, the suspense remains over the constitution of a possible group for the National Rally or an entry of La France insoumise into the hemicycle of the Luxembourg Palace.

This is the last vote before the presidential election, and the results will therefore be particularly observed by political staffs. The senatorial elections, during which 178 senatorial seats out of 348 are renewed, are held on Sunday September 27. The first results have come in, particularly in Ardèche, Vienne and the Vosges, and can be consulted in our map. Towards a new breakthrough for the RN? Jordan Bardella will follow the results in Var, where his party recorded a surge during the municipal elections last March. The far-right party hopes to be able to reach the bar of ten senators, necessary for the creation of a parliamentary group. #SENATORIALES No surprise either in Haute-Corse, where Paul Toussaint Parigi (Regionalists) won the election with 83.4% of the votes. In the Ardennes, Else Joseph (Les Républicains) was also elected in the first round, with 51.74% of the votes. In the Vosges, Daniel Gremillet (Les Républicains) and Jean Hingray (UDI) retain their seats at the Palais du Luxembourg.
#SENATORIALES In Indre, the various right-wing senator (who has no nomination but is supported by Les Républicains, recalls HERE Berry), Nadine Bellurot is elected for a second term. The right is also moving into Ardèche, with the re-election of the president of the Les Républicains group Mathieu Darnaud and that of Anne Ventalon (various right).
