Unemployment is highlighted as the main problem by 6% of voters in Paraíba interviewed by the Quaest survey, released on August 25th by TV channels Cabo Branco and Paraíba. g1 carried out a survey of proposals for job creation presented by candidates for the government of Paraíba in the 2026 Elections, in their respective government programs. (see below)
The research carried out 804 face-to-face interviews, in homes, with voters aged 16 or over, between the 21st and 24th of August. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under numbers PB-07850/2026 and BR-00699/2026. The confidence level is 95%, and the maximum margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points.

The candidates' proposals were organized in the same order as they appear in Quaest's survey of intentions, in the stimulated scenario.
Stimulating entrepreneurship, professional training and access to the first job are some of the proposals presented by the candidates.
Lucas Ribeiro (PP)
Attract new industrial plants, through an incentive policy, aimed at generating employment and income;
Stimulate technological entrepreneurship, support for startups and integration of technologies into traditional sectors of the economy;
Strengthening employment and income for PWD and ASD, expanding access to the Empreender PB Program and strengthening partnerships with Sistema S and support institutions;
Strengthening women's autonomy, expanding access to employment, income and credit, offering professional training and maintaining sales spaces in strategic locations.
Cicero Lucena (MDB)
Implement a continuous policy of generating formal jobs and increasing income;
Reward companies that open vacancies for their first job with a state seal;
Articulate a state workforce qualification program and prioritize, in state credit and infrastructure instruments, small businesses, projects in the interior and companies that generate formal employment and better wages;
Establish a partnership with the private sector to grant internship grants to professional education students, with a bridge to their first job.
Efraim Filho (PL)
Reduction of bureaucracy to open and operate a company;
Creation of "Entrepreneur's Poupatempo", where everything can be resolved in one place, quickly and digitally;
Promotion of professional training tracks, online qualification offerings and the creation of a first job program in partnership with companies, focusing on areas such as programming, renewable energy, tourism and technological agribusiness.
Pedro Coutinho (DC)
Reduction of bureaucracy and guarantee of legal security for those who intend to open, expand or invest in a business.
Creation of a permanent state policy to encourage entrepreneurship, with training, guidance, access to credit and innovation.
Investment in infrastructure, professional training, events and tourism promotion to transform visitors into jobs and income for the people of Paraíba.
Camilo Duarte (PCO)
Candidate Camilo Duarte did not present an individual government plan. The document registered on the platform of the Superior Electoral Court is the national one presented by Rui Costa Pimenta, presidential candidate for the Partido da Causa Operária (PCO).
The PCO's proposal is to prohibit layoffs, and for workers to occupy and control companies that fire or threaten to close.
Yuri Ezequiel (UP)
Holding a public competition to fill available vacancies in state departments and end the outsourcing of public services;
Creation of state work fronts to guarantee employment for all young people and adults.
