Embryos exchanged in Naples: couple in hospital for medical records

The couple will go to the San Paolo hospital in Naples tomorrow to ask for the medical records and, above all, the exact location of their embryos, the couple who in June 2025, after having had a baby girl through in vitro fertilization, discovered that the little girl was not biologically their daughter.

An investigation into the matter is underway by the Nas and the Naples Prosecutor's Office which hypothesize the crime of negligent injury.

Furthermore, according to what has been learned, there are two other couples waiting to know what happened to their embryos.

Both have no news and one of these has already requested an order from the civil judge which should rule in September.

According to what they have announced, these two couples are missing two and three embryos respectively, while there are four of which the first couple, the one who had the baby, have lost track of.

"We are hostage of the hospital company as we do not know what happened to our cryopreserved biological material", say the parents who await the sentence next month.
