First Lady Erdoğan Attended the Leaders' Wives Program in Bishkek

Accompanying President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who arrived in the capital Bishkek to attend the Opening Ceremony of the World Nomad Games and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Heads of State Summit, Emine Erdoğan proceeded to the Ala-Archa Enesai State Guest House to attend the invitation of Aygul Zhaparova.

Upon her arrival at the guest house, Emine Erdoğan was warmly welcomed by Aygul Zhaparova.

The program, hosted by Zhaparova, was also attended by Mehriban Aliyeva, wife of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President of Azerbaijan; Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping; and Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, wife of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As part of the program, the spouses of the leaders took a walk in the guest house park and closely followed a concert given in a Kyrgyz yurt by children and youth wearing traditional attire, playing Kyrgyzstan-specific instruments including the komuz.

After having a family photo taken here, the spouses of the leaders then visited an ethnic exhibition featuring Kyrgyz handicrafts.

Closely examining felt embroideries, carpets and rugs, handmade products, fabrics, and clothing belonging to Kyrgyz culture, the spouses of the leaders petted eagles and traditional hunting dogs called Taisyans, which hold an important place in Kyrgyz culture, and had their photos taken.

The spouses of the leaders received information about the exhibited artifacts from Mirbek Mambetaliyev, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, who accompanied them.

Later proceeding to the Enesai Reception Hall, Emine Erdoğan and the other spouses of the leaders were greeted at the door by Kyrgyz children who presented them with flowers.

Here, the spouses of the leaders watched a concert and folk dances prepared by children's ensembles under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan.

During the concert, along with the Turkish piece "Gülüm Benim," works belonging to the countries of the other leaders' spouses were also performed.

During the concert, visuals regarding Emine Erdoğan's previous contacts in Kyrgyzstan were shown on the screen in the area.
