Mustafa Sarıgül's son, Emir Sarıgül, benefited from effective repentance provisions within the scope of the investigation.
Emir Sarıgül was released with a judicial control order in the form of house arrest.
RELEASE CAME AFTER NEW PARTY ALLEGATIONS
The release of Emir Sarıgül, who gave additional testimony in the Sarıgül investigation, came after his allegations against Özgür Özel and Yeni Parti.
Emir Sarıgül claimed the following in his additional statement:
"I would like to talk about a few things that I did not mention in my first statement. My grandfather, Abdurrahman Köksaloğlu, was both an industrialist, a businessman, and an Istanbul MP. A large amount of his property was left to my mother, Gülsüm Hülya Köksaloğlu. My mother passed away in 1984, when I was only 3 years old. Thereupon, 3/4 of the property inherited from my mother was given to me so that I could save it when I was 18, and 1/4 was given to my father, Mustafa. It was left to Sarıgül. After a while, my father and Aylin Kotil had a son. After that, I lived with my grandmother and my grandfather. During these years, everyone was telling me about the inheritance I had inherited from my mother. With the influence of my father's new marriage, I asked my mother to transfer the remaining assets to me, but my father did not accept this process until about 2 years ago. It continued like this without progressing. I have been experiencing serious financial difficulties for the last 3 and a half years. I even talked about the transfer of this property with my daughters. My father agreed to transfer this property due to my father's advanced age. As a result, we signed the inheritance division agreement prepared by my lawyer Emrah Cengiz in Ankara. Half of one of these 5 properties was already mine. These properties are as follows: 987 square meters of land with a 5-storey derelict building in Nişantaşı, 64 decares of land in Marmaris Söğüt area, a land of nearly 1 decare in Mecidiyeköy, which is currently used as a parking lot, the building opposite the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Ankara, where Şinasi and Akün Stage is located, Nişantaşı Abdi İpekçi. "It is 642 square meters of land at the end of the Avenue. In addition to this contract, we signed another promissory note, in the presence of a lawyer, stating that 50 million dollars will be given to me if the real estate is not transferred to me."
600 THOUSAND DOLLAR CLAIM
Emir Sarıgül continued his statement and claimed the following:
"I also know about some money given by Mustafa Sarıgül to the YENİ Party. I want to tell them about these. First of all, I know that during the establishment of the New Party, he left 250 thousand dollars of money in the vehicle belonging to Özgür Özel, at the exit of a restaurant in Ümitköy, Ankara, for the interior furnishing of the party's headquarters building. That day, my father and Özel had dinner with a group of 6-7 members of parliament. I do not know the names of the MPs. I personally left the restaurant at the exit. My father himself left 250 thousand dollars in the back of the vehicle belonging to Özel. Apart from this, he told me that he personally gave 250 thousand dollars or euros to Özel for the construction of the sound system of a bus belonging to the party and to specially design the interior of the bus. He told me that this money was given to him at a fish restaurant they went to after a hearing they attended in Silivri. This incident took place in the last 2 months at a fish restaurant. He told me that 100 thousand dollars was given to Özel in person. My father put 100 thousand dollars in this scarf package at the house in Ulus Platin Houses in Istanbul, and we turned it into a gift package. My father took this package and went to Istanbul Airport with his own vehicle. He went to Ankara by plane and then went to the house in Ümitköy Angora Houses. In the evening, Özgür Bey came to dinner there. "This money was given to him in person. My father told me the following day. I have two daughters and I need to be with them because their mother is abroad for a long time. My daughters are currently in need of care. I am not guilty."
THE NEW PARTY RESPONDED WITH A RECEIPT
After Emir Sarıgül claimed that Mustafa Sarıgül gave money to Özel for the NEW Party Headquarters and the party bus, Zeynel Emre said that the allegations expressed in the additional statement were an irrational conspiracy and showed the rent receipts of the party bus.
Regarding Emir Sarıgül's claim that he bought two scarves and their box and his father gave 250 thousand dollars to Özel for the reception of the NEW Party Headquarters, Zeynel Emre said the following:
"His father allegedly gave money to our chairman; he bought two scarves. Who buys scarves to whom in August is a separate matter of discussion. We need to look at whether the stores sell scarves in August. Money was put in the scarf box and given to our chairman... Where was it given? They went to dinner. That is, in an environment where our chairman was having dinner, where there were more than 20 people and bodyguards, where the bodyguards constantly kept records and recorded the comings and goings, he put this package in his car after the meal without anyone seeing it." "And would the police allow them to approach the chairman's car and put a package in it? Do you think these are nonsense allegations? Of course, we will make an announcement and take legal action against these slanders."
