Emmanuel Macron invites party leaders to a meeting on the international situation

Emmanuel Macron invited the leaders of the parties represented in the French Parliament, or their presidential candidate, for a meeting on Friday on the “rapid deterioration” of the international situation and its “consequences in France on security and energy”, the Élysée announced on Thursday.

“Faced with the rapid deterioration in recent days of the international situation, the President of the Republic invited the party leaders represented in Parliament, in a Saint-Denis format, to a meeting on the conflicts in the Middle East and in Ukraine and their consequences in France on security and energy. The military authorities and the intelligence services will share information in the possession of the head of state,” indicates a press release from the Élysée.

This meeting around the Head of State, in the presence only of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu and military and intelligence officials, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the presidential palace.
