Erdogan: Türkiye will stand against every injustice, broke an export record

Aslıhan Altay Karataş - President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made an Address to the Nation after the Cabinet meeting held at the Presidential Complex. Erdoğan briefly said:

WE DO NOT HAVE SURGERY IN THIS LAND: We saw from the voices that followed that the messages we gave from Malazgirt reached their addressees. Our dignified, cool-headed attitude should not lead anyone to have different dreams. We do not perform surgery on anyone in this land that we have made our home by taking and losing our lives under the clanking of swords. Likewise, we do not watch from the stands hostile steps aimed at surrounding our country in our region. Türkiye is not against any country, any society, any belief or culture. It is already unthinkable that it could happen. But Türkiye is and will continue to be against every lawlessness, every injustice, every tyranny, every banditry no matter who it comes from.

THEY CANNOT CHANGE THE FLOW OF HISTORY: We categorically hold no hostility towards anyone. On the contrary, we want to continue our path as an independent, stable and prosperous state in the difficult geography we are in. We will never allow this to be stopped. Those who are disturbed by our country's strengthening and its efforts to establish peace and stability in its region cannot turn us back from our path. Make no mistake, no one has the power to change the course of history. Türkiye will shake hands with its friends, embrace its relatives, and unite again with its brothers. Those who are friendly to Turkey will win, and those who are hostile to Turkey will lose.

RECORD IN EXPORT: Our goods exports in August increased by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 23.5 billion dollars. With this figure, we broke a record in August exports. Our exports increased by 4 percent to 185 billion dollars in the first 8 months of 2026. Our annualized exports reached 280.3 billion dollars with an increase of 4.2 percent. There is only a difference of 1.7 billion dollars left to our end-of-year target of 282 billion dollars.

3-YEAR ROADMAP: We shared our roadmap for the next three years with the public. Our determined stance in the fight against inflation will continue.

Good news from Erdogan

RENTAL HOUSING APPLICATIONS ON SEPTEMBER 14: In addition to the 100,000 social houses we will build in Istanbul, we will also bring 15,000 rental houses to our citizens. We start receiving applications for our rental properties on September 14. Hopefully, we will draw the lottery for our first 1000 rental houses in October. We are accelerating the transformation of risky buildings in Istanbul with the 'Half is on Us' campaign. With this campaign, we will provide safe and disaster-resistant homes for 2 million of our citizens in Istanbul.

HALF IS OUR DEADLINE'S DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED: I would like to give another good news to the people of Istanbul here. We are extending the duration of our Half is on Us project, which is planned to be completed at the end of this year, until December 31, 2027. An interesting incident occurred as the ministers were leaving the Social Complex after the cabinet meeting. Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler chose to ride in the same official vehicle.
