Decisions on Türkiye-EU and Türkiye-UN Climate Agreements Published in the Official Gazette

In the Official Gazette dated 23 June and 24 July, the decision on the approval of the "Attached Amendment Protocol Signed by the Exchange of Letters dated 23/6/2026 and 24/7/2026 between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the European Commission Concerning the Amendment to the Financing Agreement for the Annual Action Program for Turkey for 2020 Concluded within the Scope of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II)" was taken by President Erdoğan. with his signature.

The "Decision on the Approval of Addendum No. 4 to the Financing Agreement for the Annual Program of Action for Türkiye Under the Attached Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) for 2016, together with the Attached Notes", signed in Ankara on 15 May 2026, was also published in the Official Gazette.

The agreement included the issues agreed upon by the parties within the scope of the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations (UN) Framework Convention on Climate Change, which Türkiye will host.

The decision to approve the "Memorandum of Understanding on Data between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement", signed in Bonn on June 9, 2026, was also published in the Official Gazette.
