Another shot at a restaurant in Berlin-Moabit

There is said to have been another shooting at a restaurant in Berlin. The owner of a restaurant in Moabit noticed inclusion holes in his restaurant on Gotzkowskystrasse early on Sunday afternoon and alerted the police, they said. It is unclear when the shots were fired. The restaurant was last open the evening before, it was said. The investigation into the background was ongoing.

Shots have been fired at shops in the capital for months. Restaurants, barbershops, cafés and late night restaurants are affected. People were also shot at, most recently a few days ago directly in front of a police station, also in Moabit. A 22-year-old was shot and seriously injured. According to police findings, he was not the actual target of the attack.

In many of these cases, the police are investigating organized crime and have set up a special investigation group called “Ferrum” (Latin for iron) at the State Criminal Police Office.
