Ersun Yanal's words about Emre Belözoğlu: 'The only question mark in my mind is...'

Ersun Yanal, who previously served as coach of Fenerbahçe in two different periods, made striking statements about Emre Belözoğlu's return to the yellow-dark blue club.

Stating that Belözoğlu accepted a difficult task, Yanal emphasized that the young coach should be given a working area.

Drawing attention to Emre Belözoğlu's character and ability to cope with difficulties, Ersun Yanal said:

"Emre has taken on a difficult task, he will cope with the difficulties. Emre is an upright man, a child at heart. He can do what he needs to do wherever he is. I hope the people on the other side will understand this well and give him space."

Underlining that the decisions taken by Belözoğlu in Fenerbahçe should be respected, Yanal continued his words as follows:

"What I will always say is for Fenerbahçe: I hope they leave room for Emre. Let me underline that, not leaving him room after this point and still being involved in this business will cause serious damage to Fenerbahçe.

You did this job, you brought Emre here; Let the man work. Respect the decisions they make, do not undermine them, remove the obstacles in front of them, remove the ones who create obstacles. Let the man work comfortably, let the man work comfortably. That's what I'm going to say."

'MY ONLY QUESTION MARK IS TIMING'

Evaluating Emre Belözoğlu's decision to leave his job in Kasımpaşa and go to Fenerbahçe, Yanal questioned the timing of the signing and used the following statements:

"The only question mark in my mind is timing. How right is it to leave a team and go to another team? Was it time for this?"
