Many tourists boarded the K7093 train carrying backpacks and cameras. While the heat of summer still lingers in the southern land, the forest sea in Heilongjiang is already immersed in beauty. This train carries passengers to a feast of colorful mountains spanning thousands of miles.

"The most beautiful scenery on this trip is on the road." Chen Li, a tourist from Shanghai, started her autumn appreciation trip. After a night's drive, the train traveled westward from the Songnen Plain and deep into the forest area of ​​the Greater Khingan Mountains. The scenery outside the window gradually changed from contiguous farmland to a continuous forest sea. The next morning the train reached the Ituri River, where the mountains were covered with white birch and larch trees, forming a golden and red picture.

After a short rest, passengers can transfer to the 4181 forest area public welfare slow train to continue moving forward. This old route runs through the mountains and forests. The speed of the car is slow, and the valleys, shrubs, and colorful forests flow slowly outside the car window. There is no need to rush to the scenic spots. The journey itself is to enjoy the autumn. The train drives all the way to Genhe River, and the Genheyuan Wetland nestled beside the Genhe River is the essence of the autumn scenery in the Greater Khingan Mountains.

This railway autumn viewing route is not an isolated case. The railway network of China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Co., Ltd. is like a silk thread, linking the colorful mountains of Heilongjiang to the east and west.

To the east, the train can reach Hailin Hengdao Hezi, where the century-old China Eastern Railway locomotive stands quietly, and the Wuhua Mountain is surrounded by Russian-style old buildings; continuing to the south, you can reach Dongning, where the border mountains and forests are rich in autumn; to the north, you can go to Luobei, where the mountains and forests on both sides of the Longjiang Three Gorges are colorful; the Tangwang forest sea is covered with green mountains, and the mountains are dyed red in autumn, each with its own charm.

A railway track connects border ports, forest towns and wetland secrets, forming a "fast forward and slow travel" golden autumn tourism loop.

According to the forecast of the Heilongjiang Provincial Meteorological Bureau, the viewing period of Wuhua Mountain in Heilongjiang Province in 2026 will extend from mid-September to early October. Affected by latitude, altitude and local climate conditions, the autumn colors of mountains and forests in Heilongjiang Province gradually advance from north to south.

Feng Huabin, director of the tourism management department of Harbin Railway Culture and Tourism Group Co., Ltd., said that during this year’s National Day holiday, the railway department will operate two additional Yabuli-bound tourist trains to effectively meet the travel needs of tourists during the festival.
