A female college student in New Taipei City was working at a pharmacy near the Tamsui campus at the end of last month when she was suspected of being drugged by the pharmacist surnamed Chen. She felt dizzy and hurried home and posted about her experience online, causing an uproar. The Shilin District Prosecutor's Office took the initiative to investigate separately. Yesterday, it directed the police to seize the surveillance host and other evidence, arrested Chen Nan, and found that he was involved in crimes such as attempted aggravated forced sexual intercourse, and applied to the court for detention. The Shilin District Court ruled this afternoon that Mr. Chen, who administered the drug, should not be held in custody.
As for the cause of the case, the sister of the murdered female college student posted on the Internet, "My sister was preparing to be a senior and had been working in a pharmacy for almost a year. However, on August 26, her boss drugged her (FM2). She seemed to be about to faint, so she forced herself to go home and cut off the drug... She reported the case and informed the instructor the next day." A female netizen posted her sister's kettle and said that when the kettle was opened, it was turbid inside, and called on women to be careful.
The PO article aroused heated discussion, and the police also took the initiative to intervene in the investigation and seized the surveillance images. After Chen Nan arrived at the case, he argued that he wanted to test whether it had medicinal properties. As it was not an ongoing crime, after police inquiries, Chen Nanhan was sent to justice for violating the Drug Harm Prevention Regulations.
The Shilin District Prosecutor's Office took the initiative to investigate separately and set up a task force to actively pursue the investigation. It first restricted the pharmacist named Chen involved in the case from leaving the country and overseas on the evening of September 4. Yesterday, it went to Chen Nan's pharmacy and residence to seize relevant evidence such as mobile phones, computer hosts, electronic storage devices, monitors, and drug purchase information, and arrested Chen Nan and brought him to trial in accordance with the law.
After an overnight interrogation, the prosecutor determined that Chen Nan was involved in deceptive means to induce the administration of third-level drugs, attempted aggravated forced intercourse, attempted aggravated indecent assault, and injury. The crimes were serious, and he was guilty of a felony with the minimum sentence of more than 5 years. The facts were sufficient to prove that he was in danger of fleeing, destroying evidence, colluding with witnesses, and repeatedly committing crimes. He applied to the court for detention in the early hours of this morning.
After interrogation, the judge determined that Chen Nan was involved in the crime of deceiving someone to use third-level drugs and causing injury according to the Drug Harm Prevention Regulations. The former is a felony with a minimum sentence of more than 5 years in prison, and the defendant had committed evidence destruction.
