Talks between Witkov, Kushner and Putin in the Kremlin regarding Ukraine

The magazine explained that the visit of Witkoff and Kushner came after the visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Moscow last week, considering that these moves indicate that the Trump administration has resumed its efforts to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine, after a period of relative stagnation in the diplomatic track.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Boitkov and Kushner on Saturday in the Kremlin, and Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov said that the two sides discussed possible ways to settle the Ukrainian conflict, describing the talks as “fruitful and characterized by trust.”

Ushakov added that during the meeting, Putin stressed the need to remove the root causes of the conflict, and also presented a clear assessment of the situation in the special military operation area, noting the progress of Russian forces.

In conjunction with these talks, President Putin issued instructions to stop all air strikes on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, for three days, starting at midnight on Saturday, a step linked to the communications of American envoys in Kiev. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained that the Ukrainian side was informed of this step.
