Shuangbei City Police and Easy Card Company signed a memorandum of cooperation on anti-fraud

With the advancement of technology and the development of electronic wallets and digital currencies, scanning QR codes to pay has become the trend of the times. But criminal groups are using technology to quickly reach people, and digital payment fraud has become rampant. In order to strengthen cross-domain cooperation and improve the capacity of nationwide fraud prevention, the Shuangbei City Police Department today signed a "Memorandum of Understanding on Fraud Prevention Cooperation (MOU)" with Easy Card Company. Combining police expertise and corporate technology capabilities, the three parties will focus on the four main axes of "technological fraud prevention, information sharing, real-time interception, and national fraud awareness" in the future to build a new fraud prevention model in the digital era.

The police stated that this cooperation memorandum focuses on five major areas of cooperation, including "strengthening identity verification and account security management", "establishing high-risk transaction control and real-time joint prevention and interception mechanisms", "promoting joint intelligence and information prevention and caring interception", "deepening fraud awareness promotion" and "cooperative education and training". It is hoped that through the integration of government and enterprise resources, the effectiveness of early warning, interception and fraud prevention will be improved, and the risk of people being defrauded will be reduced.

The police stated that Easy Card and Easy Pay services have been widely integrated into diverse areas of life such as transportation, consumption and digital payment. This cooperation will fully utilize their advantages of widely reaching the public to make anti-fraud information faster and closer to people's daily lives. In the future, the Youyoupay App, digital publicity platform and related multimedia channels will be combined to provide the latest fraud trends and fraud identification information in real time, and jointly promote anti-fraud publicity activities to enhance the national fraud prevention awareness.

In addition, the three parties will also establish a high-risk transaction early warning, joint prevention and real-time reporting cooperation mechanism. For accounts suspected of being used for fraud or abnormal transactions, real-time notification and coordination will be provided through the 165 joint defense platform. Necessary account security control measures will be taken based on individual cases to jointly block fraudulent financial flows and reduce money laundering risks, demonstrating the determination of the government and enterprises to work together to protect the safety of people's property.

Director Lin Yantian said that in the face of the rapid development of emerging technologies, fraud crime patterns have also continued to evolve. In addition to actively investigating fraud groups, the police agency is more importantly using cross-agency and public-private collaboration models to upgrade fraud prevention work from "post-incident investigation" to "pre-emptive prevention and immediate interception" to protect the public from victimization.

Director Lin Yantian pointed out that the "Fraud Prevention Cooperation Memorandum" was signed with the New Taipei City Government Police Department and the EasyCard Company to shoulder social responsibilities on behalf of the government and enterprises.
