In recent years, Zhoushan, as the "City of Thousand Islands", has explored the "Tongxin Township Meeting" co-construction model. By attracting "Tongxin Partners" and "Tongxin Flyers" to return to their hometowns to start businesses, it has revitalized idle farm buildings and developed new rural business formats with "Tongxin Space".
The person in charge of the "Sanye" teahouse is Shi Yili. She had been engaged in design work in Hangzhou for nearly ten years. She was optimistic about the opportunities for rural development. By chance, she rented an idle farmhouse in the village in July last year and founded this teahouse.
It is understood that the teahouse mainly sells specialty drinks and cultural and creative peripherals. In addition to market-oriented operations, this is also the first "concentric space" in Putuo, which carries functions such as collecting public opinion, making friends, discussing matters, and promoting mutual wealth.
“When the teahouse first opened, many villagers saw that I was not from the village, and they were not familiar with new business formats such as teahouses, so they felt somewhat distant from each other,” Shi Yili recalled.
In order to get closer to each other, Shi Yili tried to make adjustments according to the actual needs of the villagers. Considering that there are many children in the village, she relies on her own design and research and development advantages to specially prepare special drinks and purchase children's picture books for children to read. She launched the "Tongxin Tea" public welfare activity and regularly set up free tea stalls to provide tea to villagers.
"It's very windy here, and the signboard in front of the store is often blown down, but when I come every morning, the signboard is always upright." Shi Yili said that in her opinion, it was the neighbors who came and went on weekdays who silently helped.
It was in this kind of pyrotechnic interaction that some worries and problems that were originally too embarrassing to talk about were "talked about".
Xu Mennglei, general manager of Zhejiang Zhoushan Hibei E-Commerce Co., Ltd., is the executive chairman of Zhoushan Xinlian Association. Under the "Tongxinxiangmei" co-construction model, new social class people like Xu Menglai become "Tongxin partners", rotating in the village on a "quarterly" basis, and deeply participating in rural operations and community governance.
"Some villagers are reluctant to speak out when they encounter difficulties. When I was on duty in the village, I would take the initiative to chat and communicate, and many of their demands gradually became clear during the chat." Xu Mennglei said that when he was on duty at "Tongxin Space" before, he often encountered local villagers asking about land transfer, taxation and other issues. In response to these confusions of the villagers, he used his own advantages and relied on the United Front Network to help them connect with professionals such as lawyers and tax accountants.
This method of "discovering needs from chats and then finding resources through the United Front Network" is not only reflected in daily trivial matters, but also extends to the development of rural industries.
Zhoushan's specialty fruits are of outstanding quality, but most of them have shortcomings such as delicate fresh fruits and short shelf life. Previously, Huangyangjian Village had a good harvest of peaches, but it also brought sales problems to the villagers. In order to expand sales, the villagers hope to use online live broadcasts, but the complicated platform qualifications and listing procedures make them unable to do anything. In desperation, the villagers went to the "Tongxin Space" in the village to seek help, and the relevant person in charge of the position immediately forwarded the farmers' demands to Xu Menglei.
"At that time, there was less than a week left before the scheduled live broadcast. Our team immediately accelerated the progress and completed all the qualification review and product listing link matters in just three days." Xu Mennglei said.
Data shows that in recent years, Zhoushan has attracted a total of 250 United Front members to go deep into the countryside, cultivated 96 entrepreneurial projects for returning home, and launched more than 410 heart-warming projects such as health service stations and elderly care meal assistance.
