Sikorsky called the idea of calling the US base in Poland “Fort Trump” humiliating

Trying to call a US military base in Poland “Fort Trump” is derogatory. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Radoslav Sikorsky, RIA Novosti reports.

“The government and the president are working together to establish a permanent American base in Poland, but I consider the proposal of the name 'Fort Trump' to be a demonstration of such humiliation,” he said.

According to him, this does not inspire respect and is very risky, since approval of funding for a military base must be given by the US Congress, which may not like the name. He also noted that former US President Ronald Reagan is more worthy of having a military base named after him.
