Wave of false bomb alarms in Russia before September 1

Information about the planting of explosives was sent, among others, to several kindergartens, schools, hospitals and other public facilities in the Leningrad Oblast.

Governor Aleksandr Drozdienko explicitly called such actions an "information terrorist attack."

"We cannot not react to this, although we understand the opponent's intention - to disrupt September 1, spoil the holiday for children and adults, and perhaps also cause panic," he said in a post on Telegram.

Evacuation in Moscow

Bomb threats also reached cultural institutions in Moscow.

Among other things, it was closed Museum of Fine Arts Pushkin - tourists were evacuated and tours in the next few hours were canceled.

The main building of the State Museum of the East is also inaccessible to visitors. The facility's managers cited "technical reasons," reports the independent Russian portal Meduza.

Bomb alerts in other regions

Earlier, the authorities of Altai Krai reported a wave of reports of allegedly planted explosives in various facilities in the region.

According to the "Ostorozhno, novosti" website, false bomb alarms were also reported in the Urals, in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Kazan, Orenburg Oblast, Zabaikalsky Krai and Krasnoyarsk Krai.
