Green power not only lights up the CAEXPO, but Chinese companies also bring green power to neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
In Cambodia, China Huaneng built the San River II hydropower station with an installed capacity of 400,000 kilowatts, which greatly alleviated the local power supply shortage.
In April this year, the first phase of the 1 million kilowatt photovoltaic project of the CGN Laos Northern Clean Energy Base was connected to the grid, which not only ensured local electricity consumption, but also supported industrial upgrading.
"In the past, my factory often used diesel to generate electricity, which was expensive and the smoke exhaust was not environmentally friendly." Huang Wenqiang, an exhibitor at the China Southern Expo, is from southern Vietnam. He is deeply impressed by China's green energy cooperation projects.
Huang Wenqiang said that his hometown is rich in wind resources, but a few years ago it was an "area severely affected by power shortages." In recent years, Chinese companies have built photovoltaic power generation and wind power projects locally. The stable power supply has allowed them to expand production lines, and orders have also increased a lot.
Today, the power interconnection system between China and neighboring countries has basically taken shape.
Yunnan Province, which is accelerating the construction of an international regional green energy hub, has built 16 cross-border power grid lines of 110 kV and above, achieving interconnection with Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar. The current cumulative electricity trade volume exceeds 80 billion kilowatt hours, ranking first in the country in terms of scale and trade volume.
At the same time, the “soft connectivity” of regional energy cooperation continues to deepen.
China and Laos have established an Electric Power Standards Cooperation Committee; the Lancang-Mekong Regional Electric Power Technical Standards Promotion Association and other organizations have been established to promote the joint construction of Lancang-Mekong power standards; the cross-border "Tao Dian" model has attracted more than 100 overseas entities to register, laying the foundation for the construction of the Lancang-Mekong common power market.

Fan Qinyuan, a top-notch international business technical expert at the Lancang-Mekong International Company Planning and Research Center of China Southern Power Grid, said that China's green energy transformation and cross-border power interconnection achieve a win-win situation for all parties.
For neighboring countries, green power projects ensure energy supply, reduce electricity costs, and promote employment and industrial development; for China, they expand clean energy consumption channels and enhance regional influence; for the region, they promote the formation of an energy community with a shared future and promote the optimal allocation of energy resources.
Fan Qinyuan said that in cooperation, China always adheres to the concepts of equality, respect, extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and respects the cultural differences and development aspirations of various countries.
The experience of energy cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong region provides a reference path for energy cooperation in regions with different levels of development and different cultural backgrounds. (over)
