US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the negotiations between American representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Moscow and Kyiv as substantive.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Witkoff and Kushner in the Kremlin on September 5, emphasizing the need to address all root causes of the Ukrainian conflict.

American negotiators arrived in Kyiv by train from Poland, and negotiations took place in several stages with the participation of representatives of Great Britain, France and Germany.

WASHINGTON, September 9 - RIA Novosti. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the negotiations between American representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Moscow and Kyiv as substantive.

“I don’t want to characterize them as good or bad, productive or unproductive. I can only say that they were meaningful,” Rubio told reporters during a visit to Colombia, the footage was broadcast by the media.

On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with Witkoff and Kushner; it lasted about three hours. During it, the Russian leader emphasized the need to eliminate all the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
