SPC "Ushkuynik" assessed the effectiveness of long-range drones "Prince Vandal of Novgorod"

The extended-range fiber optic FPV drone “Prince Vandal of Novgorod” (KVN) is less efficient than a conventional one. This assessment was given to TASS by the General Director of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center (NPC) Alexey Chadayev.

The manager noted that with increasing range, there is “inevitably some decrease in efficiency,” since “the fishing line is thin, and every kilometer is an additional risk of breakage.” “Therefore, the statistical indicators of KVN at 40 kilometers will be worse in terms of percentage of flight, and so on, than that of KVN at 15,” Chadayev said.

The head of the NPC added that the lower efficiency is compensated by the importance of targets that are hit at long distances.

The leader also noted that millions of KVN drones were delivered to the North Military District zone.
