Hatice Katrancı, who was shot by her husband in Fethiye, had her second leg amputated.

The incident took place on January 25 in Tuzla District of Fethiye. Veli Katrancı shot his wife, Hatice Katrancı, who was going through a divorce, with a hunting rifle at a workplace. Katrancı, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Hatice Katrancı, who was treated at Muğla Training and Research Hospital, had her left leg amputated below the knee.

Veli Katrancı, who was detained regarding the incident, was arrested. Following the investigation, a lawsuit was filed against Veli Katrancı for 'attempted intentional murder against his wife'.

'I NEED A PROSTHESIS LEG'

During the 7.5-month intensive treatment process carried out to save Hatice Katrancı's right leg, no success was achieved due to tissue and nerve losses. His right leg was amputated below the knee after the pellets from the hunting rifle caused tissue death throughout his leg.

Hatice Katrancı said, "I want the person who did this to me to receive the heaviest punishment and for the decision to become a precedent. I went through a difficult period, I suffered a lot. My psychology naturally deteriorated.

At this stage, my family is my biggest supporter. My mother was with me in every way. I can't meet any of my needs right now. I need a prosthetic leg to stand up again and hold on to life. I couldn't be saved, I was maimed. "I hope something like this doesn't happen to another woman," she said.
