Palestinian Vice President criticizes Israeli violations in West Bank and East Jerusalem

In his written statement, Sheikh drew attention to the violations and attacks carried out by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Stating that the Tel Aviv administration turned cities, towns and refugee camps into mass prisons with iron gates and checkpoints, Sheikh noted that Israel removed olive trees on hundreds of acres of land belonging to Palestinians as part of these violations.

The Deputy President of Palestine continued his words as follows:

"We call on the world to intervene to protect our people from racism and ethnic cleansing. We demand that the current meetings of the United Nations (UN) take decisions that will protect the Palestinian people and discourage the occupier from all these practices."

Pointing out that official statements do not stop the crimes committed by Israel, Sheikh demanded that deterrent steps be taken to make Israel give up its racist practices.

Since October 2023, when Israel launched its attacks on the Gaza Strip, there has been an increase in detentions, raids and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
