Aerial bomb discovered in Rosenheim during construction work

An aerial bomb was uncovered on a railway line during construction work by Deutsche Bahn in Rosenheim. According to initial findings, it is a 250 kilo bomb from the Second World War, as the city of Rosenheim announced. During the defusing measures, delays in train traffic and disruptions in road traffic are to be expected.

Around 1,500 residents affected

The site was therefore cordoned off. In order for the explosive ordnance disposal service to defuse the area, the area must be evacuated within a radius of 500 meters by 5 p.m. at the latest. Around 1,500 residents are affected. Citizens would be informed on site through warning apps and loudspeaker trucks. According to the city, the surrounding streets and the railway line must be closed to defuse the situation.
