The Blues play the first official match of the Zinédine Zidane era, Friday in Izmit (8:45 p.m.), in the Nations League.

A new chapter for the French team opens on Friday September 25. The Blues begin a new cycle with the arrival of Zinédine Zidane on the bench. • Zinédine Zidane, new coach of the Blues. The 1998 world champion, who officially took his post on July 28, marked a break with the Didier Deschamps era from his first list. With five new players and the return of others who had not appeared in the selection for a long time, Zinédine Zidane also chose to do without executives like N'Golo Kanté, Aurélien Tchouameni, the Hernandez brothers, as well as Lucas Digne.
• Several last minute packages. After announcing his list, the coach had to review his copy due to several injuries. Good evening @Makelson, I imagine that you are referring to Adrien Truffert who, moreover, is honoring his second selection this evening after playing his first match with the Blues against Denmark, in September 2022. There are therefore NO neophytes on the pitch for the moment but Zinédine Zidane guaranteed at a press conference that he was counting on all of his 23 selected players. We are therefore entitled to hope to see, from this evening, new ones like Lucas Da Cunha, Estéban Lepaul or even Andy Diouf.
