«Das Land würde damit die Bedeutung des Unternehmens für das Ruhrgebiet nicht nur untermauern, sondern auch ein eigener Stabilitätsanker werden», sagte SPD-Fraktionschef Jochen Ott dem Magazin.

Derzeit hält die RAG-Stiftung, die die Folgekosten des deutschen Steinkohlebergbaus finanziert, laut Evonik rund 43 Prozent der Evonik-Aktien.

Die Fraktion fordert in den Antrag den Erhalt der Eigenständigkeit von Evonik.

Das industriepolitische Interesse der Landesregierung müsse daraufgerichtet sein, «Evonik als starken und eigenständigen Konzern mit Unternehmenszentrale, Beschäftigung und wesentlichen Entscheidungsfunktionen in Nordrhein-Westfalen zu erhaltenund weiterzuentwickeln», heißt es wörtlich.

SPD: Übernahme nicht auf Kosten der Beschäftigten

Dies müsse mit Investitionen, sicheren Arbeitsplätzen und langfristigen Perspektiven für die Standorte verbunden sein.

Sollte dennoch eine Veräußerung oder Übernahme verfolgt werden, müsse die Landesregierung darauf hinwirken, dass verbindliche Vereinbarungen zum Schutz von Beschäftigung, Standorten und Investitionen getroffen würden.

«Betriebsbedingte Kündigungen, der Abbau von Arbeitsplätzen sowie die Schließung oder Verlagerung wesentlicher Unternehmensbereiche sollen für einen belastbaren Zeitraum ausgeschlossen werden», fordert die SPD.

Vor knapp zwei Wochen hatten die beteiligten Unternehmen sowie die RAG-Stiftung als größte Evonik-Anteilseignerin bekannt gemacht, dass es ein Angebot gibt.

Evonik sprach von einer unverbindlichen Ansprache durch die BASF.

«Diese ist auf ein freiwilliges öffentliches Übernahmeangebot für sämtliche Aktien gerichtet.»

Gespräche fänden derzeit nicht statt.

BASF hatte mitgeteilt: «Fortgang und Ausgang der Sondierungen sind gegenwärtig offen.»

NRW-Ministerpräsident Hendrik Wüst (CDU) ist qua Amt Mitglied im Kuratorium der Stiftung.

«Das Land hat damit einen unmittelbaren Zugang zu den Beratungen über die Zukunft eines seiner wichtigsten Industrieunternehmen», betonte die SPD.
