[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] The Dodgers will start G1 of the National League Division Series against the Warriors at home in Taiwan at 4 a.m. tomorrow. The starting candidate announced today is not last year’s World Series MVP Yushin Yamamoto, but two-time Cy Young left-hander Tarik Skubal.
Scooper came to the Dodgers from the Tigers before this year's trade deadline. After arriving in Los Angeles, he started 10 games and recorded 5 wins and 2 losses, with an ERA of 2.61. In the past, Schüber started 6 games for the Tigers in the playoffs, with an ERA of 2.04. Tomorrow will be the first time in his career that he will start at home in the playoffs.

Sonja Chen, a Dodger reporter on Major League Baseball's official website, pointed out that the Warriors' performance against left-handers in the regular season this season was obviously not as good as right-handers. The attack index against left-handers was only 0.696, while the attack index against right-handers was 0.730. This may also be the reason why the Dodgers finally chose Skoubel instead of Yushin Yamamoto in G1. The Dodgers may only let Yamamoto start one game in this series because he has never taken less than five days off in the regular season in his career.
Sonja Chen mentioned that Yamamoto had simulated pitching for multiple innings on Wednesday, US time, which also increased the possibility of him starting in G3, provided that the Dodgers sent another 2-time Cy Young left-hander Blake Snell in G2.
