Three workers died in a work accident in Gaziantep within a week

17-year-old Halil Yağız, who was doing plumbing work in a building under construction in Gaziler District of Gaziantep's Şehitkamil district, fell from the 6th floor to the terrace floor for an undetermined reason. Upon notice, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. During the check carried out by the teams, it was determined that Yağız had died. Yağız's body was buried in Asri Cemetery after the autopsy at Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute.

HE GOT HIS ARM CAUGHT IN THE ROLLER MACHINE IN THE FACTORY

25-year-old Şerif Özkaya, who worked at the General Nonwovens factory in Başpınar 5th Organized Industrial Zone, also died in a work accident.

In the incident that took place in the morning, Özkaya got his arm caught in the roller machine. Özkaya, who was thrown many meters away due to the impact of the machine, was seriously injured. Upon notice, police and medical teams were dispatched to the factory. Özkaya, who was taken to the hospital after his first intervention, could not be saved despite all the interventions made there.

Uğur Arpacı, who worked at the Karafiber factory in Gaziantep, died due to electric shock on Monday, September 21.

With the two deaths today, three workers lost their lives in workplace homicides in the city within a week.
