Grégory Guillotin tried for alleged domestic violence

Grégory Guillotin, alias Greg Guillotin, will be tried on November 27 by the criminal court of Evry (Essonne) for alleged domestic violence. The 43-year-old YouTuber and comedian was presented to court on Tuesday after being taken into police custody Monday morning in Palaiseau. The prosecution initiated a delayed appearance procedure.

The comedian “will have to answer for acts of habitual violence by a spouse resulting in total incapacity for work of more than 8 days in this case 30 days committed between September 9, 2020 and April 6, 2026, while the victim was aged between 21 and 27,” the prosecution said. While awaiting his trial, he requested placement under judicial supervision, with a ban on contacting the victim and going to his home, as well as an obligation to provide care. Grégory Guillotin must appear before a liberty and detention judge.

Another rape complaint filed

The investigation follows a complaint filed on June 17 by his ex-partner with the public prosecutor of the Evry judicial court. She accuses him of repeated physical and psychological violence during their relationship. His complaint describes in particular acts of surveillance, humiliation, insults and control. After the revelation of this complaint, Grégory Guillotin publicly recognized the violence denounced by his ex-partner and declared that he was “ashamed” of it.
